What things on T.V. influence kids the most?
Kids thought that violence can influence a person a lot. A person people thought had a bad influence on kids was Jerry Springer. Most kids wanted to be a character on T.V. Students thought that T.V. had a big influence on kids and made them like they are. About 70% of kids wanted to be a person on T.V.
Do kids want to be any of the characters on T.V.?
Out of 28 fifth graders, 17 of them said they wanted to be a character on T.V. The girls wanted to be Spice Girls and Melissa Joan Heart on "Sabrina" and the boys said they wanted to be "Garfield" and Cory Matthews on "Boy Meets World."
What T.V. character influences fifth grade most?
Six out of 31 kids said they are not influenced
by a person or do not know who they are influenced by. Three girls said
that they pay more attention to the Olsen twins.
Three boys said they pay attention to Bart Simpson. Kids are also interested
in cartoons. This could be because it is a life they want.
What T.V. character has the worst influence on kids?
Kids thought that Jerry Springer and the Power Rangers had the worst influence on kids.Others thought that Jim Carey,James Bond,and Homer Simpson were a bad influence.Some people thought T.V. did not have a bad influence.
Why did kids watch that person?
Kids thought they liked Jerry Springer because he had a T.V. show so he's cool. They also liked him because they fight and always win. They also just like him because of what he does.
What T.V. character has the best influence on kids ?
Barney won with the most votes for best influence on kids.He had five votes. Topanga on Boy Meets World came up second with two votes. Many other characters got just one vote.
Why do they watch that person?
Kids watch "Barney" and "Boy Meets World" because it doesn't show any violence or not too much if any.They are also average kids. They get in trouble just like we do.
Why do kids think film directors put PG-13 film ratings on movies?
Kids thought they put PG-13 film ratings on movies so kids don't watch what is inappropriate for their age.Kids still watch PG-13 movies with their parents or not. Some parents don't want their kids watching the movies because they have seen the previews on T.V.
Are kids glad they do that?
About 85% of the kids said they are glad they put ratings on the movies. They said kids don't like to watch mushy stuff.15% said they don't like it that the ratings are put on the movies.
Do your parents limit your T.V. time?
15 out of 25 kids said that their parents don't limit their T.V. time. Four kids said sometimes it gets limited but not usually.Kids said that if their parents limit their T.V. time, it's to get their homework done.
Do you like when your parents limit your T.V. time?
Most of the kids said that they're glad when their parents don't limit their T.V. time. Just a couple said they weren't glad.
